The Let's Get You on the Web Project, is the brainchild of Prateek Shujanya. Prateek is pursuing a bachelor degree in medicine and surgery at one of the prestigious medical schools in Uttarakhand, India. It is his dream to empower a million people and small businesses with their own personal websites by 2015, and the cost of every finished website to be under 300 US Dollars.
In the summer of 2005, Prateek, wanting to get a website of his own, contacted a few web-producers and the average quotation of a 5 page website with a domain name and web-hosting came around 1000-2500 US Dollars with little or no after sales support. It was then that Prateek decided to build a personal website for himself. Almost four years later and after a lot of trial and error, www.prateekshujanya.com, came into being.
The dream is to get a million people and small businesses, their own personal website by 2015. Prateek had to cross a lot of hurdles and spend a lot of time and money in the process of building his website. The LGYOTW Project has been launched to save you all that stress and to see that you get your own, beautiful website for a very nominal price.
